How to Set a Romantic Intention
The relationship area of the Feng Shui Bagua represents one-on-one relationships. With a romantic desire so close we can taste the chocolate, let’s draw our attention to amour - and set a powerful romantic intention.

Things You’ll Need:
Romantic intention
Red paper or red-ink pen
Two rose plants
Pairs of things you find romantic
Step1:
If you were to stand at your front door, facing in,the Feng Shui relationship area would be to the back,
right section of your home. If you live in an apartment this is the door to your unit, not the entry to the building. If your domain is one room, we’re talking about the door to that space. For an increased level of romance, harmony, and opportunities be sure this space is clutter-free and clean.Ready? Let's set that romantic intention now!
Step2:
The number representing relationship is, of course, two.Enhancements here might include two candles, two bird sculptings, two ceramic red hearts, two big chocolate Kisses wrapped in foil, two Champagne flutes, you have the idea. Be light-hearted about this and have fun while setting an intention for romance. If you are using an image (painting, photo, drawing, etc.) be sure both of the 'two' are in the one image. A client some time ago had two images in her bedroom hanging side-by-side: each image a single beach chair on a beach. To look at her life, those chairs were on two different beaches.Think togetherness here.
Step3:
Please, no photos or art of singular men or women – this is the area for couples. You really love the Mona Lisa and a Self-portrait of Vincent Van Gogh - would that be OK? NO!Write an intention on red paper or with red ink about yourSelf in relationship and place it there. It needn't be visible - tape it to the back of a picture hanging there.
Step4:
Long-stemmed red roses are a traditional and very romantic expression of love and romance. Feng Shui suggests that when cut flowers begin to wilt and are no longer bright, remove them. When not fresh and new they cease to represent the Chi of romantic love in relationship. Live roses offer an advantage. Live roses are just that: living – in a state of expansion. This energy is alluring and exciting. A live rose (i.e. roots attached, in soil) represents not only the beauty of a loving, romantic relationship but also its growth. A live rose may be planted outdoors to continue the energy of love, growth, and expansion over the coming seasons
Step5:
The rose is a perfect metaphor for romantic relationship. Attracted by the blossom, we see potential. Move closer and the fragrance envelopes us. We spend time becoming familiar, getting closer, enjoying the beauty… color… scent. The image in our mind’s eye fills us with Joy. As we spend more time delighting in the journey of our relationship we notice thorns. Ouch? Not necessarily. If we continue to pay attention
we become more comfortable; the thorns being apparent are harmless. Our awareness is heightened. Touch and embrace relationship thoughtfully, mindfully, lovingly – aware of the thorns and the beauty. Remain grateful for the contrast.
Step6:
Set an intention about the type of growth your live rose will encourage. Growth from a casual relationship to one more focused? Growth within a committed relationship to expand love, romance, and the desire to raise each other up? Growth within a waning relationship to elevate compassion and honor individuality? A deepening Self-love to attract the perfect relationship? Form an intention that feels right for you, each of you. Create a ritual around your intention, light two candles, and write it down.
Step7:
Whether you see Love in the eyes of a spouse, lover, friend, pet or a mirror, may your celebration of Cupid be filled with a Love too great to contain! Let it flow with great gratitude from you to everyone you have ever known and ever will know – let’s cover the earth with it! In gratitude and with an intention to serve.
